Kids feel it in your tension. Partners feel it in your distance. Loved ones feel it in the moments where your nervous system is doing the talking instead of you.

When you’ve lived through a lot, your body learns to stay on guard — even when the moment is safe… and that survival energy spills into the room long before you realize it.

💡The goal isn’t perfection — it’s awareness.
 Awareness is what breaks generational patterns. Awareness is what keeps you from handing your pain to someone who didn’t cause it.

So what can you actually do?
⏸️ Pause before reacting — even 3 seconds changes the pattern
🫀Notice what’s happening in your body (tight chest, shallow breath, clenched jaw, racing heart)

Today was all about practicing what we preach... slowing down, exhaling, and remembering that when we pour into ourselves, we’re able to show up fully for others.

The work we do asks us to hold space, stay grounded, and meet our clients in their deepest moments — and that’s only possible when we’re nourished too.

So here’s to rest, connection, laughter, and filling our own cups so we can continue pouring into our community with clarity and heart.

1️⃣ Pause for a moment. Take a slow inhale and exhale.

2️⃣ Notice any areas of tension, tightness, or heaviness.

3️⃣ Ask yourself: ‘What might my body be trying to tell me right now?’

4️⃣ Name it (out loud or silently). For example: ‘I feel tense in my shoulders → I need a break.’

5️⃣ Offer yourself something small that your body needs: maybe a stretch, a breath, a pause.

Small check-ins like this help your nervous system feel seen and supported. Healing isn’t about doing everythingall at once: it’s about noticing, responding, and giving yourself care. 💛

One of the biggest blocks to healing is that we spend so much time thinking about how we feel: replaying the story, judging the emotion, analyzing why it’s there. But emotional healing happens when we feel the sensation that’s underneath the story.

Feeling is uncomfortable, yes — but it’s also what creates movement. Thinking keeps you stuck; feeling brings release.

If you want to practice this in real time, try:

1️⃣ Drop into sensation: Pause the story and ask, “What is happening in my body right now?” Notice temperature, tightness, pressure, or movement without trying to change it.

2️⃣ Let your breath meet the feeling: Slow your exhale and breathe into the area that feels activated. Stay with it for 10–20 seconds at a time and let your body lead instead of your mind.

These tiny moments of presence build emotional tolerance and create the shifts your mind has been trying to think its way into.
