Fear is a built-in survival response designed to keep you safe. When your nervous system detects a threat (real or perceived), it sends signals to help you react - fast. That’s why your heart races, your breath quickens, or you feel the urge to run or freeze. 🌀

But sometimes, especially with trauma or chronic anxiety, fear can become overactive, warning you even when you’re not in immediate danger.

Emotions aren’t black and white - you can hold both fear and excitement, doubt and hope, frustration and resilience. 🌀

Instead of pushing certain emotions away, try to hold space for both:

1️⃣ Name & Validate – Instead of judging your emotions, acknowledge them. Say to yourself, “I’m feeling both anxious and hopeful right now, and that’s okay.” Naming your feelings helps reduce their intensity and makes them easier to process.

2️⃣ Pause & Tune In – Take a deep breath and notice how each emotion feels in your body. Do you feel tension, warmth, or heaviness? Let yourself sit with both emotions without rushing to “fix” them. Over time, this practice helps build emotional flexibility and self-trust.
